MOCES was born from the desire to create a movement of unity and transformation in the Algarve, reflecting the identity and essence of the region. The name MOCES is inspired by a regional Algarvian term used to call young people, symbolizing our mission to engage and empower new generations. We chose to use the letter "e" at the end to make the name more inclusive and representative of all gender identities, reinforcing our commitment to diversity and equality.

We are a non-profit organization operating in three fundamental areas: social, culture, and environment. We believe these dimensions are interconnected and essential for a more balanced and sustainable future. Our work focuses on creating innovative projects that promote social inclusion, artistic development, and environmental awareness, empowering communities and providing opportunities for artists, creators, and young entrepreneurs.

Through initiatives such as Artists & Fleas, an alternative market that supports local artists and energizes the cultural sector, or Zona De(s)conforto, a project that uses art as a tool for expression and well-being, we strive to foster a more creative and accessible Algarve. Additionally, we invest in volunteer programs and community development projects, offering transformative experiences for young people in different contexts.
